Pros - Fast, friendly service and affordable prices.

Cons - Functional NOT cosmetic repair quality — tint was not matched (I had a black tint, the new tint band on my windshield is blue), inside foam seal is torn up and visible, and a goopy black glue is bulging into the interior). I had another auto glass shop take a look at the repair job and they said the above issues were cosmetic, but the glass should not leak. I would rather pay more for functional and nice looking windshield replacement, but if you don’t care how it looks, Zamex is a good option.

I called a bunch of auto glass shops in Santa Cruz and got quotes ranging from $250 to $400 for my 2008 Ford Escape windshield. A friend recommended Zamex, and they did the work for $200, plus they actually answered the phone, unlike most Santa Cruz locations I called.
